Today's post is a beautiful perched blue bird. I'm not sure what bird. I created this bird clipart from a Victorian die cut in one of my scrapbooks. There were identifying descriptions with the die cut. A quick search turned up the bird, Red-Headed Wood Pecker; however, the plumage wasn't exact. As was the style with Victorian Art, animals were depicted in whimsical styles. Regardless, the bird clipart is pretty. I was inspired to create a color palette chart from stunning colors the beautiful feathers. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful digital camel image I created from a beautiful, Victorian paper scrap. I love the relaxed, confident post of the camel rider. He's actually smoking a pipe! And, that the camel is in motion, by the look of its legs, also makes this a very dynamic animal image. I'm sure you can find a creative project for this vibrant, digital camel clip art!

This is a wonderful digital image of a pretty milk maid and her lovely white cow. The pink bow and big bell around the cow are sweet! This lovely, country image is so idyllic and would be great in a project celebrating country life. This would even be a perfect milk illustration to use on decorating labels on handmade products that are made with cow's milk, such as soaps. I've posted lots of digital animal clip art today!  These four digital animal downloads are of either horned or tusked animals: a boar, or wild pig, a buffalo, an Asian Elephant, and a ram. I created these animal images from tiny paper scraps I found in one of my Victorian scrapbooks. They're charming in their simplicity and vibrant colors. I really love the over-stylized images of animals and nature in Victorian art, illustrations, and graphics, especially Victorian die cuts. I've posted two digital animal downloads of a Brown Bear and a Polar Bear. The Brown Bear looks almost happy with a slight grin on his face. And, I wish I had as long and lush eye lashes as that Polar Bear. Ha! These digital animal head clip arts are wonderful images to use in scrapbooking projects about a visit to the zoo. I'm quite sure of exactly which breeds these images portray, but I can guess that the first one is either a St. Bernard or Shepherd. The second looks to be a spaniel. It's difficult to guess what breed of dog is depicted in this digital image transfer because it hardly resembles its modern counterpart. This is a digital download of the dog breed, Great Danish Dog, or Great Dane. I created this image transfer from an 1885 illustration in a natural history book. The general shape and size of the dog is the same, but there are other distinguishing factors that set it apart.
