Today's post is a beautiful perched blue bird. I'm not sure what bird. I created this bird clipart from a Victorian die cut in one of my scrapbooks. There were identifying descriptions with the die cut. A quick search turned up the bird, Red-Headed Wood Pecker; however, the plumage wasn't exact. As was the style with Victorian Art, animals were depicted in whimsical styles. Regardless, the bird clipart is pretty. I was inspired to create a color palette chart from stunning colors the beautiful feathers. Enjoy!

These are two, incredibly beautiful digital animal downloads that I created from antique, Victorian paper scraps. The deer and stag illustrations are gorgeously detailed, and despite the antlers of the stag being slightly tattered and torn, they are still grand and amazing. I found these animal illustrations with other animal images that were part of a circus display in a large scrapbook. Neither deer nor stags come to mind when I think of a circus animal, but these animals must have been featured in circus entertainment in the late 1800's.

These are amazingly wonderful, antique circus animal downloads I created from 1870, Victorian paper scraps. I love the circus elephant clip art showing the big, red cover with the word, 'Boliver' printed on it. The camel and bear clip arts are also greatly detailed. These circus animal images would be fun in a scrapbooking project celebrating a trip to the zoo, or as design elements for party favors and decorations for a child's party! This is absolutely adorable digital bird clip art I created from a vintage greeting card. The two, little brown birds perched on the tree branch are so cute and sweet. The certainly look happy! The contrast between the brown birds and the vibrant yellow flowers on the tree branch is also very pretty. The bird download is perfect for any spring or summer project.

This is a wonderful digital Asian Elephant image that I created from a little Victorian paper scrap. It's so fun and detailed. And, it actually looks like fun by the comfortable and relaxed posture of the riders. The relaxed man on the big purple pillow looks as if he's holding a drink! This is a wonderful digital image of a pretty milk maid and her lovely white cow. The pink bow and big bell around the cow are sweet! This lovely, country image is so idyllic and would be great in a project celebrating country life. This would even be a perfect milk illustration to use on decorating labels on handmade products that are made with cow's milk, such as soaps. This is a wonderful digital image transfer of the dog breed, Dalmatian. I love that the image transfer shows the animal in motion. The detail of the muscles and coat is so beautiful! I'm quite sure of exactly which breeds these images portray, but I can guess that the first one is either a St. Bernard or Shepherd. The second looks to be a spaniel.
