Free Black and White Illustration: Decorative Letter A from Vintage Book

In many of the antique and vintage books in my collection there are several beautifully decorated capital letters. This is one such letter 'A' that is intricately designed and would be lots of fun adding to any project. I've given you a couple of colorized choices that I hope you find appealing.

This is a page from an antique natural history book. This black and white illustration features beautiful graphics of deer, a moose, camels, llamas, and a giraffe. It's a lovely image, and would look wonderful if it were lightly colored.

Here's an antique black and white illustration from a Victorian storybook that I've colorized in three different colors. I love frames, and this one has such an old look. The Victorian's loved nature, and the tiny ladybug walking across the bottom of the paper is a very cute touch. Put some pretty caligraphy inside the frame, and you've created a lovely image.
