Today I've posted two wonderful digital backgrounds created from antique ephemera. The first digital background is an image of an antique, handwritten envelope. It was mailed in 1915. This digital letter envelope background would make a great design element for a gift tag. The second digital background clip art is an image of an antique map of Assyria and Babylonia. The unusual, asymmeterical shapes, myriad lines, and various fonts make this map illustration another wonderful digital background for many crafting projects.

Today I've posted two digital map backgrounds of antique maps of the states, Arizona and Arkansas. I've given you two, different color versions of this map background because I couldn't decide which colors I liked better. So, you've got two, beautiful digital papers with which to play! Vintage map images make awesome backgrounds. I love using map clip art for making tags because the busy graphics of words, colors, shapes, and outlines are visually interesting and beautiful. Map backgrounds are also wonderful for creating wrapping paper. For Christmas gifts, I've wrapped little boxes with paper decorated with map images, and then tying a simple hemp string around the packages. Gifts are so cute wrapped like that! I created this digital map background from a map of Alabama from a 1913 gazette book. I hope you enjoy this digital scrapbooking background in so many of your projects!
