Do you make preserves? Has someone given you preserves as a gift? Well, if it just happens to be grape preserve, here's a lovely image you can print and put on the jar.
Here's another free clip art of grapes.

What an idyllic scene of Victorian children feeding birds. This is another really pretty antique die cut that required lots of love and care in my photo editing software program. It's wonderful that this technology allows me to preserve such lovely images, giving them a second life.

Antique women's fashion is so interesting and quite alarming at times. I'm in the process of sewing a civil war era tea dress for a yearly competition in my town, and my education has been lots of fun. I love to sew, but I've never taken on such a project. As well as learning new sewing techniques, I've gained a better appreciation of what women had to go through wearing the vast amounts of fabric and the dreaded corset. The clothes were incredibly beautiful, but not a joy to wear most of the time.
Today's clip art is 1915 hat fashion and would be much easier and more fun to wear than a corset ;-) I've provided three different files: first, a .png file with drop shadow; second, a .png file, and last, a .jpg file.
I've posted another image of antique hat fashion at The Antique Image.

This is a pretty antique die cut with religious scripture. I've removed the words so that you can use this image for any project.

This beautiful antique die cut would make a pretty birthday card. I love how the image is already framed! After printing it, it's easy to cut it out.
Check out another beautifully framed antique die cut at The Antique Image.

This special little treasure is in celebration of the Spring Equinox. Gardening and gorgeous days are just around the corner! Flower clip art is my favorite, and this antique die cut of carnations and crocuses is just beautiful.
Go and pick some more lovely flower clip art of crocuses and tulips at The Antique Image.

All of the images I've posted on both clip art blogs so far this week have needed extensive first aid from my photo editing software. These large die cuts, or scrap cards, that have come in pairs all faced one another on opposite pages. The years of friction and pressure took a toll on the surfaces, but even with a bit of damage still visible, they're beautiful and certainly deserve a second life.
Check out some cute kitten clip art at The Antique Image.

These large, antique die cuts, or scrap cards, are so pretty and a real treasure that I found in a Victorian scrapbook. Rescuing them hasn't been easy though. The cards faced one another on opposite pages, so there are signs of wear and cracking on the raised areas. It has taken me quite a while to fix these up, but the images are so worth the effort.

These are two adorably whimsical die cuts from an antique scrapbook. I imagine these little children are actually tiny fairies mounted atop their pigeon charges that they ride over an enchanted fairy kingdom.

I've gotten several requests for clipart of Easter chicks, and I hope you've liked the ones I've posted already. I've taken these three chicks from this antique postcard I posted earlier. And, for those of you who enjoy creating digital works of art, I've given you the images in .png format as well .jpg.
I hope you've enjoyed Easter Week here at Antique Images and at The Antique Image. Today's treasure, an antique postcard with Easter chicks, is a recent find at a local antique shop. It takes lots of time digging through the boxes full of antique ephemera, but it's worth the effort.
Check out The Antique Image and see my other treasure: Easter Bunnies!

Here's a cute little bunny tucked amongst some pretty flowers that I think makes for some adorable Easter clipart. This Victorian die cut is from an antique calling card. Since the little fan moves, I've posted two versions of this image.

From my 1879 Victorian scrapbook this is another Easter basket die cut. Again, I've provided two versions of this image: .jpg and .png.

This is a real treasure I found in a Victorian scrapbook from 1879. Isn't this antique die cut cute in its simplicity? Since the eggs aren't colored, I'm not quite sure that it's an Easter basket, but it's just too adorable not to be one. Again, I've given you two versions: .jpg and .png.
Get another cute Easter basket at The Antique Image.

Today's image is a lovely antique postcard with white lilies and a cross. I've given you two versions of this clipart: one with the greeting and one without.

Isn't this back cover of an antique, Victorian storybook just wonderfully grubby?! I love all the scratches and worn areas that have accumulated over the years.

This cute piece of clip art of children is from the back cover of an antique storybook.
There is another back cover at The Antique Image.

Continuing from yesterday's gardening clip art, this is another antique chromolithograph from a Victorian storybook that pictures children planting gardens. It's already time to think of planting vegetables and flowers. How fun!

Spring is right around the corner, and it's time to begin planning a vegetable garden! Here's a bit of antique clip art to get you inspired to get your hands dirty. This clip art of children was taken from an antique Victorian storybook. I recently posted the cover of the book here.
Over at The Antique Image is another image from the same book.

Simply sweet! The image of mother and child and the loving sentiment are very sweet and charming. This would make for a lovely decoration on the front of a handmade Mother's Day Card.
