These are 4 fancy, Victorian dresses! The splash of color on this antique fashion illustration is really pretty. That's what I love about these Godey's Fashion illustrations. Another cute thing about these fashion clip arts is the scene. Here we have a little girl who is obviously looking to the women as she attempts to deal with a package of letters that's been dropped on the ground. Apparently, these women are too busy in conversation to take notice of the little girl. In previous posts, other children seem to be ignored as well in a similar manner! Here's another fabulous 1859 Victorian fashion graphic from a Godey's Fashion book. These dresses are spectacular and incredibly ornate and fancy. It's amazing how Victorian were also dressed as fancy as the adults. The little girl's dress, although shorter, is still quite as beautiful as the women's dresses. It must not have been very easy to go out and play in such frilly clothes, let along all the layers that made up women's fashion. I hope you enjoy!

What a saleswoman! Sensing that the women weren't quite sure whether to purchase this dress for the little girl, the saleswoman thinks quickly, grabbing a large picture frame, which just happened to by lying around in the dress shop, and placing it in front of the little girl, giving the women an idea of how lovely this dress would look in a painted portrait. I'm sure she clinched the sale! This is a beautiful fashion illustration from an 1859 Godey Fashion Book. I love the deep, rich colors and styles of the dresses. I hope you enjoy!

Aren't these four Victorian dresses fabulous?! This antique illustration of Victorian dress fashion is absolutely lovely. The material is gorgeous! They are quite stunning and sumptuous. It looks as if these ladies are enjoying a day by the sea. However, how can they have fun wearing so much clothing? And, that young man certainly earned his keep transporting each lady to the shore and back. Seriously, not all four of the women could have ridden in the boat at once! I hope they tipped him well.
