What a saleswoman! Sensing that the women weren't quite sure whether to purchase this dress for the little girl, the saleswoman thinks quickly, grabbing a large picture frame, which just happened to by lying around in the dress shop, and placing it in front of the little girl, giving the women an idea of how lovely this dress would look in a painted portrait. I'm sure she clinched the sale! This is a beautiful fashion illustration from an 1859 Godey Fashion Book. I love the deep, rich colors and styles of the dresses. I hope you enjoy!
