Here is an image of an antique advertising card. This antique image would make a lovely Christmas card or decoration for a Christmas or winter themed project.
Here are two lovely images from a humorous antique book about flowers. I've posted other images from this same book here and also on The Antique Image.
This is an image of an antique business card. I love the look of this piece of ephemera. It's a little dirty and worn and has so much character. I've photoshopped out the words, but changed nothing else because I love the aged look.
These are two black and white illustrations that I scanned from a Victorian book on etiquette. The designs are very pretty and can be used to make unique hang tags. What I've often done to antique images such as these is colorize them, and then print them out on heavy card stock and make hang tags. I think an antique or vintage design is so appealing and adds interest to any project.
I'm continuing with the nautical theme today with these two images from the antique book, The Wonder Book of Ships. The color plates in this book are bright and very interesting. The first is an image of the Mauretania and the second is a chart showing the rank markings on marine standard uniforms. Over at my other blog there are two more free nautical themed images. Check 'em out!
These two beautiful, nautical images were taken from an antique book entitled, The Wonder Book of Ships. For such an old book, the color plates are in great condition. Want more nautical images? Check here for free images of ships.
Here are two beautiful images from an antique book on graphic design. I love this alphabet! It's very decorative. There are two other pages with the rest of this alphabet, and I've posted them here on my other antique images blog.
