This beautiful, serene image of a pond with lovely flowers is from a vintage poetry book. I've been posting several images from this same book, and the Forget-Me-Not Flowers have all been spectacular; however, I'm not quite sure that these flowers grow in ponds. Regardless, this is still a gorgeous flower graphic.

Here's a rather charming gentleman holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. This image is perfect for any Valentine's Day project you're planning. I just love antique postcards as sources for great antique and vintage clip art. The images are so romantic, and since it's so close to Valentine's Day, this image couldn't be any better. Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Clip Art Antique Postcard Bouquet of Pink Flowers in Basket

This is a very pretty antique postcard that I've left almost completely unaltered, including the stamp, which I think adds to the vintagey-ness of the image. And, the pretty girl and pink flowers fits with the Valentine's Day theme, I believe. By the look of her, perhaps she's got a secret Valentine she's thinking of ;-) Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Clip Art Antique Postcard Man Giving Flowers

Just in time for Valentine's Day! This is a cute, French, antique postcard featuring a man giving flowers. Even though this is really a birthday postcard, the image is still romantic and suits the sentiment of the romance of Valentine's Day. And, if I'm translating correctly, the words on the bottom of the postcard say, "Token of affection". So, I think this beautiful image would work very well for any cards, gift tags, or any paper projects you have planned for Valentine's Day.

Free Antique Postcard Image: Flower Clip Art and Birthday Greeting

This is a lovely antique postcard from 1910 wishing a lucky recipient a Happy Birthday. And, it's purple! My favorite color ;-) I've offered three different compositions of the image: the original, without the greeting, and just the illustration, also without the greeting.

The anchor in the illustration is very interesting. I did a little research and found that the anchor symbolizes both hope and stability. It's used in Christianity to symbolize a hope in Christ and in the secular world to symbolize both hope and stability. I often see the anchor on antique ephemera, especially postcard greetings, and I think it was used as a symbol for hope for the future as is used in birthday greetings. I'll never look at anchors the same way again! Perhaps this will give you some inspiration when using this image.

Free Image of Flowers: Antique Book on Flowers

This lovely image was taken from an antique, Victorian book on flowers. I've had this image for several years, but I've never used it in any projects. I don't know why! Hopefully you'll be inspired to make greeting cards, gift tags, or use it in a scrapbooking project for yourself.
